"Symbol of Mauritania's future, this artpiece revives the line of Ben Amira, over there in the distance. It also evokes the religion of this country, with the crescent moon in God's hand. And the baby is the gestating future of this country - the fruit of the future, which is coiled in the belly of its culture, as in a womb, as in a cocoon, and one is waiting impatiently to see it born. It's also the symbol of Creation, where everything's in God's hands.
